2009 was a challenging year for companies in almost every sector. Despite this difficult economic environment, 4D weathered the storm and remains in a strong position today. Thanks to a record backlog from 2008 and a good mix of international and domestic sales in 2009 we achieved record sales last year. With an excellent staff, unique technologies and impressive new products we are poised for significant growth in 2010.
In 2009 4D continued to expand its line of dynamic laser interferometers, including the infrared PhaseCam IR and the extremely compact, remote-controlled PhaseCam 6000. 4Sight software received significant speed improvements and new features, and our growing line of Upgrade Kits allows owners of a variety of older interferometers to enjoy the benefits of 4Sight's analysis power and intuitive user interface. Our research team obtained several key US and international patents for core technologies and developed a number of unique applications, particularly for our Fizeau interferometers.
