The WaveCam 1000 was designed to test the next generation
of CD, Blu-ray and DVD pickup heads. The WaveCam incorporates a single frame,
dynamic phase sensor that makes measurements in tens of microseconds and works
equally well with pulsed or CW sources. The Mach-Zehnder interferometer has true
multi-wavelength capability, with all optics coated and corrected for 780, 650,
and 405 nm wavelengths. An optional collimated reference source enables testing
of small diameter parts from 2 to 6 mm in diameter.
The WaveCam laser interferometer comes with a complete suite of software analysis
tools designed specifically for pickup head wavefront, spot size and intensity
distribution characterization. Zoom imaging and turret-mounted optics make it
a snap to set up and quickly measure almost any type of pickup head assembly
or component. Fully integrated tracking beam blocks are adjustable to accommodate
almost any pickup head beam configuration.
