Do you need to dramatically reduce scrap and rework of precision machined parts? We can help. Attend 4D Technology’s “Simple, 3D Shop Floor Measurement Reduces Part Rejection” webinar on Thursday, January 11, 1:00 pm EST (18:00 GMT) to learn about new methods for affordable, high resolution, shop-floor surface defect and feature measurement.
We will discuss the challenge of accurately assessing defect severity with traditional measurement techniques—from low-repeatability visual inspection to expensive, high-end metrology systems. We will show how the 4D InSpec Surface Gauge, the first handheld, non-contact, 3D measurement tool, helps inspectors quickly and repeatably quantify pits, scratches, bumps, etc., even on complex surfaces or large components. The system can also measure Radius of Curvature to assess blend radius and quantify other critical radii on components.
Examples from new-make and repair/rework facilities will be presented in which the gauge has dramatically reduced measurement cycle time and decreased the rate of rework due to false-positive measurements, as well as improving measurement traceability.
The event will include a 45-minute presentation followed by a question and answer period. A recording of the webinar will be made available to all registrants shortly after the event.
